Last Sunday the hosting service that serves up our website was hacked and vandalized. It came back up on Monday, but they were unable to restore the index pages. I was traveling for the week so I have just been able to restore the sight to its former glory.
Until this morning, visitors to our site were presented with the message “Site Temporary Unavailable” which was a great indicator of not only of the quality of the staff manning the servers but also from where my hosting company sources its tech labor. Apologies to any visitors we might actually have.
I did take the opportunity to update my CMS software after remembering the adage that there are two types of people in this world: those who make regular backups and those who will.
