I think it was just haphazardly I found this whisky. After encountering Lagavulin, I figured I should stick with island malts.
Talisker is much milder in its smokiness, but still offers a good nose of smoke. Unlike Lagavulin it is a bit sweeter, but at the same time very peppery. I would venture to say that I like Talisker better in this unique combination. Another very warm whisky to be enjoyed on its own. The warmth lends it to a winter spirit.
