For my first Orkney malt, I can not say that I was disappointed. I suppose I was expecting more sea flavor in this whisky, but found only a bit of saltiness that finished the clean, sweet flavor of the whisky. Although there was a faint pepperiness that was also present. This is a good one on its own or perhaps before dinner.
