We had planned a vacation for the autumn a long time ago. But given what a fabulously horrible year this has been, we never got around to actually planning anything. Well, if I am to be honest, Elise normally has to do the planning. Anyway, for the first time we consulted a travel agency and they recommended Tenerife to get away from it all.
It was a wonderful decision. Not only was everything taken care of us in one go (air, pension, rental car), the destination was great. As it was starting to frost at home, we were enjoying sun on the beach and having breakfast with a view of a banana plantation and the sea. We can now understand why so many Germany retire there.
