First it started with, “I can’t believe it’s almost Thanksgiving.” Then it moved to, “I can’t believe the Christmas markets are open already.” Next we were at, “I can’t believe it’s Christmas.” Last night we had the obligatory, “how can 2008 be over already?” Today it’s 2009 and I can’t understand how the holidays are already over for another year.
With any luck 2009 will be a better year than its predecessor. Even if things start to go sideways, we can at least look back at the fun that was the holidays of 2008 and take comfort that, just like 2008, 2009 will also soon be over.
