Mackmyra Svensk Whisky AB

Mackmyra Single Malt
No age given

When I was last in Sweden, I had to stop by the liquor store to pick up some more cloudberry liqueur since we were running dangerously low. Naturally I perused the whisky aisle and saw a genuine Swedish malt. It hadn’t occurred to me, but Sweden would seem to have a clime very conducive to the making of whisky. And it seems as though it is true. This is a very light whisky, which I akin to Auchentoshan. Not very rich, but subtle yet with some complexity. However it has more of a nose of citrus and some faint sweetness of dried fruit. Most people I asked said that it’s good, but nothing special. I think it’s good and it delights me to have found something so unique.
